AXL4304S Special Topic: Reading Course

Course entry requirements: Acceptance for an Honours or Master’s programme. This course may only be taken with special permission.

Course outline:

This is a course involving independent study of a special topic within linguistics that is not offered as a regular course. Students will do independent readings based on a list of readings on a set topic that is related to their research interests, e.g. Biological Foundations of Language, Advanced topics in Code-Switching, etc.

DP requirements: Submission of all written work and at least 75% attendance at seminars.

Assessment: Two essays of 5,000 words, each, counting 50%.
